Back to the History of the Coupés and Convertibles

A well-known design studie that did serve a purpose for a real car is this laundaulet based on a W111/W112 Coupé. Sitting in the rear, you could enjoy the fresh air. This design, dating from the early 1960s, still shows the sedan-like rear lights and a single bumper. Note the exaggerated front wind screen and the little fins who still look very 'pointed'.

A 300SE based on this design was built for Fritz Nallinger.
