Back to the History of the 4 door sedans

What colour do you want on your (new) Heckflosse? Choose one from below. These are the available colours for the Heckflosse range until 1961. Most of the colours until 1961 were available until the end of the production of the Heckflossen but some colours were replaced by others. The colours marked with an * are special colours, the others are standard colours. Of course there were a number of two-tone colour combinations available as well. In total there were 6 standard colours, 17 special colours and 16 two-tone colour combinations.

It is better to view the colour on the car itself but this will give a nice overview of the different colours available.

After 1961

After 1961, with the arrival of the new 190c and 300SE, some of the colours were replaced or renamed.
For instance: DB335, 'Mercedes Blue' was renamed 'Blue' but retained the same number DB335.
It is not exactly clear which colour replaced which. The ones marked with an * are special colours.
